Anyone need to fill a spot for this Sat?

I'm a high handicap club h0 who needs to ride in a power cart :D

Would prefer something in the north east but I'm open to possibilities.

Hi Wayland,

I'm interested, depending on where and when - it would be good if we could get four to play...

I'd be interested in going out. Live in the Markham area so North East is great for me ... will send a PM

Hi Pete hope all is well. Looks like we have 3. One more and we'll book a time tomorrow.

What times are ok with you two? I'm ok with any time. Maybe find a twilight? Anyone have coupons?

In the coupon book Oliver's Nest has $25 after 1pm if you get a cart, which sounds like is right up your alley Wayland...about $42 all in....is that too far northeast? ...BTW I don't think we need four to take advantage of this deal either.....

Looks nice beeker, never played there before. Lots of water :help:

I'm at Woodbine/16 whereabouts in Markham are you? Any idea how long a drive it is?

9th and 7 by the hospital .... it's about an hour from where I am. It's a good track ... been a couple of years since I played it, but I don't remember it having a lot of water....could be my failing memory though....

Sounds good to me. abz-pete is Oliver's Nest ok with you?

Being a bit far, I wouldn't mind if we could tee off as close to 1pm as possible.

First time available after 1 is OK with me.....would you want me to try make the booking?

Sure if you don't mind. Let's wait for abz-pete to get back to us. He's a great guy, I played a round with him once.

I'll check in during the morning to see if Pete has replied and then make the booking around the lunch hour if it works out for all of us...

Hi Wayland,

I haven't played Oliver's Nest but heard lots of good reports about it - count me in!

Oliver's Nest is closed tomorrow due to a tournament. I gotta run off to meetings which will see me away from my desk most of the day....wayland: can you try find something?

I have no coupons but I'll book something for the afternoon.

PM's sent.

1:34pm Royal Ashburn $68

This is one of my favourite courses in GTA. Difficult but favourite nonetheless.

I love this site. I want to thank beeker and abz-pete for an enjoyable round at Royal Ashburn. Beautiful weather, we played about 32 holes before it got too dark and Pete had a great idea to try to "play the course under par as a group" which to me was great as we weren't playing for any stakes but it did provide a bit more incentive...great idea.

Guys, let's do a round at Columbus soon. Both of you mentioned it to me at different times yesterday and I didn't get a chance to bring it up as a group.

If anyone remembers my rant/thread about "are all internet golfers hookers", this is funny as all three of us had problems with hooks. Maybe it *IS* true, internet golfers are hookers while the golfer depicted by instructional videos and golf digest is a slicer. ;)

Wayland,

Despite my poor play, I really enjoyed our day at Royal Ashburn - I think we all hit enough decent shots to keep us coming back for more.

Columbus is a lot easier than Royal Ashburn so we "should" be under par between us. Lets get out there again soon!

Wayland / Abz-Pete --

Saturday was great and it was a pleasure meeting you both. Funny enough, I do have a booking for this Sat. at Columbus at 2:20. Gotta check with the wife to make sure it's ok to get out, but would be looking for people to join along - the guy I was going to play with hurt his back and now cannot make it....let me know if you are up for it.
