Ernie Els, currently ranked third, could take over the top position with a victory, provided both Singh and No. 2 Tiger Woods finish outside the top three.
It is possible for Woods to replace Singh and become No. 1 if he has a top-seven finish and Singh doesn’t finish ahead of him.
If Woods and Singh finish lower than seventh then Woods has to finish ahead of Singh to have a chance of regaining the top spot.
