I am just curious about your opinions on drinking while playing golf. How important is this to the guys? Does it have anything to do with the Beer cart girls? Is this just a 'guy thing' or do the ladies want an iced cold beer too?

Not for me, if I was thirsty, I would get a thirst quencher :P

I haven't tried it out yet....so hard to comment....it might be good to do once in awhile just so that it relaxes me on the course...:)

I personally don't drink on the course cause I usually play with people who don't drink and also because it dehydrates you even more. If I'm golfing with coworkers or a client and they have a beer or two, I would too. Golf is half social so I don't see a reason why not. On the other hand, I don't like it when I see people tipsy or drunk on the course. It could become dangerous and they start forgetting about golf etiquette.

I never tried, but I wouldn't mind. I do think it would be a bit dangerous if you get even a bit tipsy, you wouldn't be able to react fast enough when you hear 'FORE!'

Is it just a Canadian thing or are beer carts the norm on courses in other countries too?

oh beer carts are everywhere..unless the course specifies no alcohol on the course...beer carts generate a lot of revenue...i heard the average beer cart does about $2500 in sales per DAY!! that includes, pop, drinks, snacks etc..also helps if you have a good looking beer girl...they make over $200 in tips per day...dang!

So let's open up a golf course for our next venture! I propose using Erwin's farm land!
