Sergio almost made double eagle right after the commentator said it was a bad idea to go at this green in two.

Don't follow in Ken Ventury's footsteps and always say how hard some shot is right before the player stiffs it or holes it.

Steve WHO??? My god...if he's going to be up there on the weekend I'll be super surprised. VJ finished strong at -5. Johnson playing well, -7 (I picked him!) Don't you just love that 17th hole? Only 4 ppl dunked it today, I guess the wind wasn't blowing too hard. I'm actually very surprised at the low scores today. Where's the Big 5? excluding VJ, looks like he's the only one who's playing up to their standards.

The guy has won a major and has 8 wins on tour. I say, not bad carrer for a middle of the pack kinda player. :D

As for 17 with only 4 balls in the water...........well they were only hitting wedges into that green that almost 80 ft wide:rolleyes:

Yep VJ really hit some bad tee shots and seconds on the par 5's but made some great recovery shots. Poor Mickelson, apparently hiting pushes all day when Judy says in a hush voice..............." Phil's been hiting it left all day and then ...............................................spl ash:rofl:

Sorry I missed Phil's splash. I would have loved to have seen that.

I can't believe you and I are the only ones on here that know who Steve Jones is. Are all of you THAT new to golf?

I don't expect to see ANY balls in the water on 17 on a day when the wind isn't blowing. Even for a short hitter like me its only a nine iron. If you miss the green with a 9 iron, you're not gonna be on tour for long. :nono:

Really? wow...well then, GO STEVE JONES GO!!! some guys were hitting 9 irons on the 17th too, but it was also because the greens were holding the balls as to other years some balls would land on the green but bounce or roll off. GO VJ!! Win this one so everyone can shaddup about the last 2 weeks! All the interviewers are all asking him about the last 2 weeks, meanwhile he shoots a 67 at TPC and they dont' ask him about that.

I really don't understand why the producers don't just air the practice tee all afternoon.

When trying to expand coverage and increase the audience for professional golf, the one thing missing that I would enjoy watching and learning from is how the pros practice.

I think they should show the practice tee at every event.

This sucks, with nothing open today, no plans until dinner time and too lazy to do any work I thought I could spend the afternoon watching golf but not anymore...I think I'll go take a nap now.

I totally agree with you, I LOVE the behind the scenes moments! I would rather see the Pros fool around and play cards than see yesterday's golf day.

I like Zach Johnson as well.

I think they will try to play some extra golf tomorrow to try to catch up. They really didn't want to play lift, clean, and place but had no choice. They also didn't want a Monday finish so as not to interfere with the club challenge thing for Monday and Tuesday.

The tour has rain to deal with.. we got snow. I'd rather have the rain issue myself.

What a great afternoon of golf, even though the Fab 4 were out of it, happy to see Old Man Funk win it. Signed, one of Funk's Punks.

Was great. Didn't have to work. Just vegged out on my couch and watched TPC all afternoon. I was really surprised to see Funk will this. Lehman put on quite a 4th round too (-4) and almost made it into a playoff. I was sort of hoping for Funk to bogey the 18th so we could see a playoff. Was pulling for Donald though. Too bad he approach on 18 didn't hold. See all those balls on in the drink on 17? 28 in total including almost every big name out there ie: Tiger, Retief, Phil, Mike etc...and who said that hole was easy?

Playing 7 irons into that green is playing the way it was meant to be played. Although they didnt count on the 35mph wind they had yesterday.:D

Bob Tway set a new record (previous record was 11 set in 1990) for carding the highest number on 17..
