Played Raleigh and Pinehurst area twice in the past 10 months.
Check out these links for some other package providers.

I have played Tobacco Road 4 times and it is a must play - no course like it in Ontario. I would also suggest replaying on the same day as you need to go once around the track to familiarize yourself.
I have to go - but PM me with any questions you have.

We have gone to Pinehurst the last three years in mid March. The weather has been good, high 60's and low 70's. Tobacco Road is amazing. Lots of other good courses, besides Pinehurst #1 thru 8, in that area. We have always dealt with Tin Cup Golf and Travel (www.tincupgolf.com (http://www.tincupgolf.com)). They always have great packages. We have stayed in a townhouse that backs onto Pinehurst#5 each time, which we prefer over hotels. Plan on going back again next spring.

My parents live on The Neuse, and I in fact used to be a member there - it included Clublink privileges up here for a cost of about $1500/year.
be happy to discuss The Neuse, or any of the area courses that I happen to know, or could get details for you. To be honest, with some internet surfing, you could likely get a package put together with ease - course costs are disgusting when you compare them to what we pay up here.
For example, The Neuse would be a $125 typew course - down there you can get on between $25 & $45...
Feel free to PM me with any questions...

Thanks for the input. I checked out Tobacco Roads thanks to Gilmore's link and it looks awesome. My favorite GTA course is The Hoot at Osprey so I think I will fit right in. Neuse looks great as well but their web site isn't as good.
We plan on going mid October and I can't wait.
thanks again, I might pm you guys for more details

You might also try joining last minute golfers (its free and no I don't work for them). The Neuse is one of the courses on there and we got it pretty cheap. It has a section for North Carolina and you might be able to get some good deals on other courses. the only problem is you need to have access to a computer while there to check tee times available.
