Me too... :help:

aside from the odd lucky shot, I'm consistently horrible at golf. I almost got my first ace last week, the ball stopped 6" short of the hole right behind the pin, but that was the highlite of my game and my season. Even thought this is my first year playing I can see how far I have to go to even qualify as half decent. The way I'm playing so far I'd be lucky to break 100.

Hey Flog, don't be so hard on yourself. Everyone starts out lousy, and I'm not saying that you're lousy, just inexperienced. There's a huge difference. There are some people who should never take up the game. It's primarily because of their lack of natural athletic ability. One of my best friends from 40 years ago had none. He was 6'8" tall and everywhere we were stationed people wanted him to play on the base basketball team. After a practice or two and him injuring a couple of the players because of his lack of coordination, he was asked to not come to another practice.
A large percentage of this game is mental. Give yourself a chance to get better. Expect those "lucky" shots more often and they'll start appearing more frequently. Have someone qualified watch you swing so they can help you get more consistent. It's really a simple game, it's just difficult to execute with consistency. Just relax and have fun with it!

LOL funniest thing I've heard in a while, but as for slumps I am definetely in one and I think its because im a putter ho, I cant get used to a putter and im always switching them around, and it kills my putting, but other than that I shot an 88 at streetsville yesterday which is an absolute joke 19 over par and ive shot a 7 over there three times this year, but it might have just been a bad 9 as I was 14 over after the front but who knows hopefully i can get outta this slump
