Have you ever had to disquifly yourself

I was playing in our club championship and got to 18th hole , I hit driver into woods and hit provisional also into woods,then hit a 3third shot safe. I found my first ball deep and hit it tree times and lost it ,I started looking for it and the guys I were playing with BECONED me to come play the third shot I had hit from the tee because the group's behind us were waiting quite a while because of all my trouble, so i gave up my hunt and finished with my shot I had hit safe. The guy who score my round marked me a 7 on the card and said not to worrie about it. MY MISTAKE WAS NOT TO DROP A BALL FROM THE SPOT I HAD LOST IT AND CONTINUE ON AND NOT LISTEN TO MY PLAYING PARTNERS. The other bad thing was if i had pared 18 I would have shot my best round this year 84

My very first club championship 10 years ago I was paired with the course owner. After he missed a putt on the 13th green he picked up the ball and proceeded to the 14th tee.

I wasn't paying attention at the time that he did that and had assumed he just tapped in.

After he tee'd off it donned on him what he had done and DQ'd himself on the spot.

I had to DQ myself 7 years ago, in what would have been my best showing in an event in my life. I played in a 2 person Best Ball/Scramble back home. We were 6 back after the first round and were bought in the Calcutta. The second round we fired a 10 under and finished Second alone and won the Calcutta. What had happened after wards was I was approached by one of the scorers where thay had asked what we had taken on the second hole. We had made par and the scorer had written a birdie. I had signed for the 10 under that we had shot, but thae card had an actual score of 11 under. I had to DQ myself and my playing parter. It really stank and boy was the group that bought us mad. They would have won $10,000 to split 6 ways.

Oh well, what can you do I guess. It is all about honesty and integrity in my mind.
