I saw this story and I have heard of this happening more than once in the past.

Has anyone on here got a good hole-in-one story to share with us - the closest i have got to a hole in one was when i hit the flag itself on a par three - it dropped - hit the edge of the cup and ricocheted about 5 feet away!

This is the link to the blind man getting the hole-in-one.

The date was May 19, 1999 and the hole was at the Lennoxville Golf Club, 130 yards Par 3, I used an 8 iron (be quiet, I was just starting) and I hit it a bit thin and I said "Ah fudge", hit the green, 2 bounces and rolled in!!! My foursome went crazy and I had 2 other foursomes behind us that were my friends, went drove back to them in our carts and they all gave me high fives. Unfortunately, I had to give them beer afterwards :) But it was well worth it!

Back in 1988 I was playing the 11th at Rockway G.C. (the local muny walking distance from where I went to highschool) with my highschool buddies who were members there. I hit a 9iron on the 135 yard (so the sign said) par 3 over the green in the air. Complaining about the yardage, I dropped another one and hit wedge this time. The ball landed right beside the hole, bounced forward once and spun back into the hole.

Looking around, I asked "did that go in?" It had gone in but my playing partners wouldn't give me a par for 3 of the tee, they wanted to see me get up and down from under the tree where I was with the first ball.

I made my par.

June 6, 1980 at the Rivermead Golf Club in Aylmer, I was playing in a foursome against another foursome for more money than I could reasonably afford at that time. Involved were 2 former Quebec Amateur champions, 2 reinstated professionals, City and District champion, you get the picture, so I was in a fraction over my head.

On the 16th hole I aced the 155 yard par three and as the betting went, instead of losing $268 as a team had I not made the ace, we won $2 each. Whew!!!

This past September 16, I aced the 165 yard par 3, 14 hole at our club. Normally, my cell phone is in my car and I would have gone out to play a few more holes, but instead of playing, we celebrated in the club house and I brought my cell phone with me. At 3:20 my wife called me to let me know that I had 40 minutes to call the RCGA office in Toronto, to let them know if I wanted a spot in the Canadian Senior Amateur Championship in Brantford, Ontario, that had become available. What a dumb question!!!

Had I gone out to play, I would have missed the call and the championship.
