Im getting the impression its difficult or impossible to get close to the players at the Cdn Open. One day I'd like to go on a practice round day to try and get some pics of my own to blow up for my new pad.
Good job indeed, as usual.

You can get so close I got sweat on me three times from players. On three of the holes the tee blocks almost touch the ropes on both sides

Hi Will

Although I am not going to Ancaster this year I was there the last time the Open was there. Man you can stand right beside the big boys when they are on the tee boxes. Plus you are pretty close to them down the fairways too.
Practice day is great. I went to the Women's Open in London and you can rub elbows with them. Pictures are easy to come by, autographs too. I enjoyed that day as much as the Thursday/Friday rounds of golf.

My wife and i went to-day and had a great time.
We arrived at the 16th green about 20 seconds after Sean O'hair got a hole in one!.
The crowds were light and the atmosphere was casual.
I asked Brett Quigley to come through for all the LMG members who frequent this board.
We purchased a flag to donate to a silent auction and had around 40 players autograph it. (i only had one refusal)

I was SO close to ALOT of them. Depends on what tee-box/green you were on. On the 18th tee, I was standing shoulder to shoulder with Fluff... The players were RIGHT there. Several other holes were exactly like that. 95% of the players there would sign auto's on the way from green to teh next tee..

It was not standoff-ish AT ALL. (Except a few people)
