Maybe it's a long running show and I'm just behind the times, but today (Sunday September 10th) at 2-3 pm there was a great show on channel 8 about golf nuts. It went around the country/world and talked about things people who were considered golf nuts had done. Great show and done with lots of humour. Made me want to get out on the course right away. :hyper:

If you were a really golf nut you would have been watching something called
THE CANADIAN OPEN between 2-3:confused:

Hehehe. Maybe it was 1-2 then. It was just before the open coverage came on.

Actually, a REAL golf nut would have been golfing as we all know the season is way too short up here in the great white north.

Yup "the ridiculous obsession." I like the woman who divorced her first husband because his handicap wasn't low enough, and the woman with the several million dollar home on SpyGlass Hill whose favorite activity was hunting for golf balls - she has four huge garbage containers - not cans, much larger - full, and one prized Donald Trump ball. There were many, many characters - oh, and the 80+ year old man who plays every day and walks (with no pull cart) . . .

Spot on Milhaus. I thought it was nice and light and a pretty cool way to see a whole bunch of different golf courses and a whole bunch of people who have made golf more than a simple obsession. Some of those peopel clearly did it for the attention, but that old guy who still carried his golfbag everyday was hardcore.

A golf nut can come in many forms. Some people fondle their scotties (even in the summer). Some people play til their fingers bleed.
