I passed by the Unionville Golf course yesterday and saw that it was their first day open. Too bad for them it was raining most of the day.
So what other ranges are open? I'm going to need lots of practice before playing my first round!

Oh wow, thanks for noticing QB. I was wondering the same thing. I'm getting pretty sick of watching my balls hit the back of side of a golf dome :) . I was thinking of going there until I saw the weather forecast. 15cm or some crap like that.

Yeah I'm assuming that no one was out there hitting golf balls today. The weather was brutal!

I have teetimes for tomorrow for two 4somes but I assume its a snowday instead. This really blows, just for the record. Of coarse while we were working all week it was goregous outside, the weekend comes and blah.

Yeah I agree with you GRT. But I think it's been like that for the past few months. Always better weather on the weekdays and bad conditions on the weekend. I swear someone up out there is messing with us! You think there is some weather controlling machine?! :p

I just made a post on the GOLF DEALS section. I suggest you look at www.parpatrol.com. They have amazing deals at Launch, Markham Golf Dome, Metro Golf Dome and somewhere in Oakville. The deals are cool because you can just keep printing them off. Plus you get great deals on green fees once the season starts. I have used the coupons 5 times already!!!!

Oh thanks for the tip. That's near me so I'll try to check it out this coming weekend if there's no rain or snow.

There was a sign up at the Markham Golf Dome (Woodbine and 407) that the outdoor driving range would be open from 11am whether premitting. Of course with the weather we have been having - it isn't permitting!
This better not be another summer where Monday to Thursday is beautiful and Friday to Sunday is terrible.... I'll cry!

I swear someone up out there is messing with us! You think there is some weather controlling machine?! :p If you go to the Environment Canada website and check out the 3 month, long range forecast for spring, you will see ABOVE normal temperatures and BELOW normal precipitation is forecasted.:) What you are experiencing (you got snow, we/Ottawa got rain) is just an anomaly, whatever the hell that is.
Better days ahead folks.

Ok I'll keep my fingers crossed that this weekend will be a good one.
I was driving down McCowan near 14th Ave and saw a sign for a new golf range? Has anyone been this year? Feedback?
