Another Columbine??

Not what MOST Canadians (especially women) will remember!? :(

Yeah, the fact that it was a college in Montreal brought that other memory to mind.

I hope it's limited to four people and that they're not badly wounded.

This kind of thing puts a sick feeling in my stomach. I can't fathom what puts someone in the frame of mind to do this sort of thing.

One of the suspects killed himself, the other was killed by police.

just got back from Montreal, we were downtown having lunch at Schwartz's, though not really close to where it happened. Funny thing is, we were deciding between Ben's and Schwartz's and ended on at the latter. Ben's is on Maissoneuve, about 12 blocks from where it happened.

We were happy to get on the road and get out of there. The hotel we stayed at last night was 2 blocks from where it happened. Pretty Freaky.

whoa - it happens around 12h30, news at 1pm and you are already back to GTA (i assume?) by 5 pm? I guess you are so scared that you forgot about speed limit? LOL :-)

BTW, I LOVE Schwartz and I have bring back a big chunk of brisket for my friends here everytime I go to Montreal...

I am against the death penalty, though instances like this make me want to slap myself.
However I'm in favour of castration for hard nut cases, including murdering "young offenders, and I don't mean chemical either.
Faced with a pending falsetto instead of the 5&10 that is the norm,it may cause some soul searching before the act.

in the aftermath, with focus on sites like vampyrefreeks.com etc and the hole goth culture, i found it eerie to see "The Crow" on TV last night being aired that features a black trench coat-wearing, mmanson make-upped protagonist taking it to the bad guys on the streets.

As I expected the apologists were ready, lined up and eagerly awaiting the talktotheradio show, notably the CBC.It wasn't long before the murdering sob was transformed into a victim of society.
Jeez!Sometimes I think we deserve this kind of murdering scum in our lives if only for the faint hope his next victim is an apologist.
