I , like I'm sure everyone, prefers a quick round of golf. I like 3.5 to 4 hour rounds. Anything more then 4.5 is CRIMINAL!

I find the slower the golfer the worse they play. Here's the things that slow it down.:nono:

1/ Lets face it anyone who worries" what did I do on that swing" should wonder that on the drivng range. With a pro to tell them not the other hackers they play with.
2/ Looking for a ball that will be unplayable if found. Look for a 1-2 minutes but why always take it to the 5 minute limit. It's a ball get over it.
3/ Have a spare ball in your pocket so you don't spend 5 minutes getting the replacement out of your bag.
4/ Walking with your buddies is great. But once you reach the first ball proceed to your own. You can watch your buddy hit just as well from there.
5/ Carts... slowest thing on the course.
6/ Plumb boobing a putt. If your not less then a 5 handi. forget it. Just putt.

How about we all try to get in our rounds at a good pace this year. And remember the pros take the time because it's their life. We are there for FUN!:)

Totally agree.

A whole bunch of us chatted about this topic a while back here: http://www.torontogolfnuts.com/showthread.php?t=894&highlight=hour+round

We even started a poll on it.

This is a dead issue we've all seen too many times.
