Anyone here a member of a golf course? If so, do you play at other courses besides your own?

Hi GolfaLicious, I'm a member of the Weston Golf and Country Club (http://www.westongolfcc.com), which is just north of Royal York and Dixon Rd. It's a great club, and an incredible course, that I play often, and will never tire of.
As well, I do play other courses, either via friends of mine who take me to their golf clubs or to public courses in exchange for me taking them to my own. My club also has a reciprical program setup with a number of courses that allow for access to play there.
What I'm clearly saying, and I guess what you're looking to find out, is that the notion that you join one club and only play at that club is really not true (or at least does not have to be). A golf club is like a home base to refine your game, but as a base, it gives you a means by which to go and play lots and lots of other courses, both public and private.

Anyone here a member of a golf course? If so, do you play at other courses besides your own? I am a member at a local Ottawa golf club and during the season I probably play about 15 games with friends at other clubs. Plus, I also play roughly 25 to 30 rounds in various local, OVGA, QGA and RCGA tournaments.
Great fun!!

Member @ Paris Grand and play elsewhere often. Planning a Muskoka golf trip and a Niagara golf trip this year plus at least one round at Glen Abbey. I'll play practice rounds at every tour event plus the tournament. Heck... this could be a good year.
