I just want to know where you played and how it was.

Played my home course... Paris Grand GC the fairways were good but the greens weren't cut and it was bumpy and very slow. I just went out with my kids and a close friend for a late 9 holes but it was great to get out there and stripe a few sweet shots.
Got a 9am tee time for tomorrow... can't wait.

Banty's Roost on Friday - Not bad but greens were horrible but the short game was dead on???

Deer Creek North on Sat. - Great conditions for this early in the year. Don't know where the short game went?

Lionhead today - Pretty nice conditions, still haven't found my short game.

Deer Creek South tomorrow - TBD...

Took a 4 day holiday this weekend... Seems like I picked a good one...

Played home course again today (Sunday) and just the lads this time with kids at home.

What an awesome day we had. Terrible front 9 where I hit two balls OB and 3putted twice (greens were airated) to post an ugly 45. Came back strong on the back with a 37 but still had a ugly double on an easily reachable par 5. All in all, I had fun and will return to play better another day.

Played St. Andrews Valley.

Course is in quite good shape. A few wet fairways.
Greens were slow and bumpy, but expected.

Great early season price of $49.

Played the local cow pasture today. I know now why my home course is waiting to open. My game is in good shape. Irons were great, which is real good because that is the part takes a while to get going.

I played a course just outside NYC last week and I was very disappointed with the greens. The irrated 2 weeks ago and now they're virtually unplayable. I feel ripped off. Should have complained and asked for a refund after a few holes.

If it was that bad, can you ask for a rain check?

I went and played a nice 9 at Toronto. Course was in good shape which was nice for April 10th. Felt good to get my first birdie under my belt on the first hole.

A little birdie told me there are 27 new courses coming to Ontario. This should bring the prices in line soon enough. And it should make the owners rethink they're dumb idea of eliminating memberships. I hope.

St. A's at $90 in April? Holy crap! That's ridiculous! :help:I sent them an email today with a link to this thread and this is the response I got.
I appreciate you playing here last weekend, the golf course has changed dramatically since then due to the great weather.

Now thats a load of crap the greens were crap and the fairways were like a sponge. Can you say CASH grab! I was going to play there again this weekend, but not at that rate.I will golf this weekend some where that has a spring rate. END RANT

Should have complained and asked for a refund after a few holes. Not wanting to add insult to injury focker but remember now, it is only april and if you want those greens in good shape all year long they have no choice but to airrate them now. We are lucky to playing at this time of year and should know that others are not so lucky and are still under many inches of snow.

I've played on 3 courses this past week and 2 of them were airrated and the one that wasnt, was in worse condition because the fairways were very very wet. We can not complain about the conditions until maybe may.:nono: Just enjoy the golf, cuz you know it;s better than working.

St. Andrews Valley is $89 for this coming weekend. They have prime time rates already. WHY WHY WHY!!! Dont know the course but I do know that top end courses with mid season conditions from the get-go have the right to collect what the course is worth no matter what time of year. Eagle Creek here in Ottawa, did not open this past weekend like advertised because they wanted to cut the perfect greens and tee blocks for the players before they charge full pop. On the other hand if the course under water with puched greens and temporary tee blocks, there should be a discount. We played on the weekend at a course up here and paid $26 and got a coupon to go back. Now that's good PR.:D

Wooden Sticks is not even charging full pop until Mid-May, why can St. Andrews Valley. It is wrong.

 That is a load of crap! St. Andrew's is a good course but not for $90. Maybe because its rather close to the city and they know people are desperate to get out there.

I just played a round today at Knoll Country Club in New Jersey. It was too perfect a day to not share with you my story. (if you have the time)
It was absolutely a perfect day. The weather was about 15C and the sun was shining with a light breeze. Being from out of town, they charged me a little more since I was non resident. :( $45US got me a cart, my round and this is the priceless part....No one infront of me, no one behind me for my entire round. Where can you get that in the GTA??? I took my time and played 2 balls, even played 3 balls on the par 3's! :nono: Finished my round in about 3.5 hrs. It was just pure relaxation as all I could hear were birds chirping and my clubs rattling and the smell of grass. Greens were perfect and fast, fairways were in excellent condition with tall trees lining each fairway. It was nice to get away from everything (including the gf :hush: :help: ) and just enjoy my round which I totally did. Just wanted to share. Cheers!
