If you're looking for courses around the 35/115 area, you could try Wolf Run (http://www.wolfrungolfcourse.com/) or Black Diamond (http://.http://www.blackdiamondgolfclub.ca/)
Oliver's Nest (http://www.oliversnest.com/) in Lindsay or if you don't mind the extra drive... Timber Ridge (http://www.timberridgegolf.net/) in Brighton.

Newcastle is a nice course but it's a little hilly...think about laying up short of the creek on the 11th (great hole)..Don't miss to the right on the 12th..Price was pretty good last time I was there...take some deep woods off.....Wolf run is one of my favorites but haven't been there for a couple of years...best of luck

Dalewood is private but they allow nonmembers to play after 1 or 2 pm.
I'm a member at Newcastle and there is some news.
The course is open, green fees went up $2 this year so 18 on the weekend is now $35 or $37 (I can't remember but I don't care since I pay for the full season membership $1000 )
The course has been sold but the new owners aren't taking over until after the 2006 season.
The course is a challenge to play and walk and is good value for the money.
The course is a Par 70 but the course record is 65 so that tells you something about how difficult it is to score.
If you have any questions just let me know.

Did Black Diamond improve at the end of last year? Played it in July and it was in pretty rough shape....Me and my playing partners figured it would still need a few more years to get into decent playing shape....

I'm a member at Dalewood, as others have mentioned you can play after 1pm, the cost is $70. I'm always up to shoot a round with a guest, that way you pay only $50. The course is in fantastic condition. Honestly wait another month and the course will be playing the way it should.
Newcastle is also very nice, it is no licensed however so that may be an issue. I would say the greens at Newcastle are not over receptive to shots as they seem to be mounded in general. That being said, I'm sure better players can find a way to make thier shots work.

I've played Wolf Run, Oliver's Nest and Timber Ridge, and all are good courses to play. Timber Ridge is probably the best of the three, but all three are enjoyable.

Black Bear Ridge in Belleville is one of the nicest courses in Ontario and is very playable. You can also walk it if you prefer.

Yes - BBR is a great course and it's generally pretty empty as it's on the pricey side for the area. Right next door is Trillium Wood which I really enjoy as well...
