I am certain it is.The original TGC was adjacent to High Park before they relocated to a larger property on Dixie.
A bit of an edit required here as it was Lakeviews original location that was near High Park not TGC's.Sorry.
TGC was out near Woodbine originally, and dating back to 1876 is the 3rd oldest in North America.

You've got to distinguish between the "oldest golf club" and the "oldest golf course." Toronto GC is a Harry Colt course that was created in and around 1910. It may well be the oldest -- but there are surely others that rival it, including Lambton, Summit, and Mississauga. Scarboro is 1911. When I get home I'll see if I can nail this one down.

Robert is quite correct. The oldest golf club in Toronto is The Toronto Golf Club. It was founded in 1876 but is not on it's original site. The oldest golf course would be exactly as it states, the course that is in its original spot and has been there the longest. I'm not sure what this course is but I'm sure Robert can find out.
For those that are curious the oldest golf club in Canada (and North America) is The Royal Montreal Golf Club founded in 1873. Royal Montreal is on its third site since being founded.

Toronto GC is the oldest course in the city -- according to my research.
