i'm without a car until july, and thereby generally limited to public transit. anyone know of any driving ranges in toronto that are accessible via ttc?
i went to the docks today, and it was both pricey, and a hassle to get to. the range on victoria park just south of the danforth is closed until mid-may. launch is similar to the docks, pricey and a hassle to get to. am i s.o.l.?
i'm hitting my irons fine, but i'm having real difficulties with my driving. i need to spend some time watching the ball flight of my drives...

There used to be one at Keele and Lawrence but I'm told its closed. Ditto for the one near the Dome. I'm actually looking for one in the city since I hate going out to suberbia. I know there's a few courses in the Flemington Park/Overlea area, perhaps some ranges lurk around there too.

Hey you guys there is a range at Midland and St.Clair called Golf Etc. Not bad. Balls are new, Matts are so so, The grass is poor and limited. Cheaper than the docks, alot easier to get to by public transit ( a bus east out of warden station i think) , and the staff is alot friendlier. Give it a shot.

I hate the docks. You get two people who buy a large bucket and take up two mats. No organization. Good to know there's one in the city.

Andy Bathgate's on Eglinton just west of the 403 might be reachable by bus. A little run down but not too bad.

I know its a city course, I only played there a few times when I started out. I'm off to bigger courses now though, sorry but it was a nice little learning ground

I've gone on to bigger and better courses myself but I still play there since this course is not only for beginners but also for those wanting to practice and hone their short game. I usually play there at the beginning of the season to get myself get in the groove again. In my opinion its a very good par 3 course.

I played at dentonia almost every single day after work in 2005.. I agree with the neighbors and their trash though.. one time on the 16th tee i could hear people from that building throwing beer bottles off of their balconies trying to hit the tees.. another time I was on the 18th tee and some vagrant kids were just walking across my fairwar when i was about to hit.. just taking their time.. when they started not actually moving out of my line of shot, i started yelling at them and taking pratice swings as if I was aiming at them. When I finally hit i was sitting at about 5 feet from the cup, when they ran onto the green and stole my god damn ProV1x.. I gave chase with my PW at first but gave up.. on my way out I yelled through the fence, though I think they were probably gone by then.. Low income housing projects like that should just be nuked.
