I'm looking for some input and opinions from people who have participated in any the golf tours for public golfers that are currently being run in the Toronto Region. I've found 5 tours.

Duffers Dream Tour in Hamilton/Guelph/Waterloo www.duffersdreamtour.com (http://www.duffersdreamtour.com/)
Grass Roots Tour in Hamilton/Guleph/ Waterloo www.grassrootstour.ca (http://www.grassrootstour.ca/)
Mulligan Tour in Toronto www.mulligantour.com (http://www.mulligantour.com/)
B.A.G.S Tour in the Georgian Bay/ Barrrie area www.bags.on.ca (http://www.bags.on.ca/)
Great Lakes Tour (is it for professionals only?) http://greatlakestour.com/

Are the tournaments well-organized and professionally run?
Is it a fair deal? re: membership cost and tourney cost in relation to your chance at a prize, quality of the course you play, value of prizes, etc.

Any other tours I'm missing???

Any input would be appreciated, especially from those who have played in more than one tour.

Peace.

I have played the great lakes and it is very well run. All dates are weekdays for sure.
I found it very expensive.
A day off work $200
Membership $200
Entry fee $170 (for one day events)
Caddie $40 (optional that you provide)
Food $30

Then expect to have to post a number under par to sniff a cheque. Last year @ Copetown Woods someone posted -8 in a one day event to win. David Hearn who is now on the PGA tour played some on this tour last season.
For some strange reason there are guys with 90's scoring average out there too. I figured I was wasting my money scoring exactly 80 average.
It was armed with only the knowledge of this tour that I started the Grass Roots.

Peace

I believe the Mulligan Tour has around 8-9 diff't chapters (tours run in 8-9 cities) so they seem quite big and also a total of about 18,000 members. That in itself tells me it's run fairly professionally. This is from viewing their website. Also saw that TGN special membership price for 49 bucks w/some free wedges, so that's a nice perk =) , although I'm sure most of you may not fancy non-OEM wedges. If you also look at their Toronto tournament schedule: http://www.mulligantour.com/MTsch_toronto_golf_tournaments.htm, it's all good to high-end courses, so you shouldn't be disappointed. Good luck in deciding. :)

Another GTA Am Tour.

Haven't played any of them so can't provide any feedback.
