He seemed like a funny character during some post interviews last weekend. At one point, told the viewers if the GC, what his hotel room number was and said "..come on by.." Of course, some flakes showed up. Seems like a surfer dude....

I thought he was very real.

I couldn't tell you which event in '06 that he won to get him into the Mercedez but I enjoyed his character and respected his skills on the links. Great showing for a first timer at the Mercedez and he showed some emotion out there, which I like.

Hopefully he'll keep up the good play.

Very true...I especially liked when he hit 3 from the tee then found his 1st in the fescue. He has some energy/charm that the tour is lacking in the media room. Let's hope we can see him near the top to keep the viewers entertained.:thumbs_up

He won the Reno Tahoe Open in August last year by one stroke over Bob Estes. The big boys weren't competing in that event (it was just after the PGA and the WGC and before the Canadian Open and Ryder Cup). But, even so, he sure looked solid at the Mercedes. Fantasy sleeper?

PGA Tour can use some colorful characters like Will MacKenzie, rather than resorting to the over-exposed, past-his-prime John Daly over and over again.

Thumbs up for Will-Mac! The guy wears his emotions on his sleeves. He's a fresh face on tour and great to watch.

I think we need more guys like that on tour that show some emotion. Players like David Toms, Davis Love III, Vijay Singh, they play so robotic and show little or almost zero emotion. Mind you I'm a fan of those players as well so it's not that I'm knocking them for being great players just that they're a bit robotic from what they telecast.

Not really impressed. He's got talent and can play, but I don't think he's worth all this hype he got over the past week - just because he does some extreme sports?! Who cares?!

When I saw him do that on line, I thought for sure that he gave a fake room number. He is some character.

It will be interesting to see how he does this week at the Sony Open after last weeks T4.
