View Full Version : WHO WILL GET THE 8TH SPOT IN THE EAST?

As of right now the last playoff position in the east belongs to Washington. WHo do you think will get the last spot and why. My heart says the Leafs, but my head says not a chance. I like Pittsburg's chances. I think if Pittsburg got the last spot they could upset Buffalo. Pittsburg won the last time they played Buffalo. The 3 musketeers on Pittsburg just keep getting better, and if Fluery can play well maybe their weak defence could hold up. I think Buffalo is ready for an upset. Goaltending will be the deciding factor if Buffalo plays Pittsburg, in my opinion.

There's lots of hockey left to be played. I think it'll come down to the Pens, Caps and Leafs with the Caps on the outside looking in.

Florida could be in the mix too. They're better than their record shows.

The Sens are also an Emery injury away from joining that battle.

I think the Sens will finish no lower than 7th. An injury to Emery would be tough, but I think you guys are playing better now.

Leaf fan for so many years, but it's getting to a point where I'd sooner spend my valuable time on something else. There is no accountability for the continuing ineptitude of management and the the product they hand out to the best supportive fans in sports.

The Leafs will not get 8th spot, and will be forced to fire Ferguson and pay yet another past employee for not working.

Oh no, another mucker. Just what they need. Executive of the year - Ferguson.

Over the past few years, I've seen the Leafs descent into a cycling proclivity. Domi made his career here at that. Stajan, Steen, Battaglia, Sundin has done it for years. They would spend the whole powerplay behind the net endlessly cycling the puck in their feet and yet another PP passes with no shot on net or anyone in front of the net in case the puck gets back to the blue line.

These muckers seem to have a common trait of having the stick welded into their hands in a permanent backhand draw claw grip, effective for cycling, but they can't make a proper play at the goal.

IMO i don't think it's that bad of a pick up...green played very well when he was a leaf. and considering the depleting forwards, this pick up looks even better...looking from JFJ's perspective, if green does well and produces..he's a hero..if he doesn't, big deal...i don't think the Leafs are better off without him...what's the worse that can happen??? and it didn't cost them anything..$500k for MLSE is chump change..

Give the guy a chance before ragging on him...

I'm hoping the leafs can find a way but that will have to include a lot better goaltending. Everyone goes through the injury thing and the teams with the best heart n sole type players usually come out on top.....like Travis Green when he used to play for the leafs. When its all said and done I think Tampa will occupy the eight and final spot:sad:

Travis will play above his level for the first little while. He is happy to be wanted. He is not the answer though, just a lift up while the Leafs suffer through all of their injuries.

LG, I agree with you!
