I am new to this forum. I was a member of a private clud for 20 years but I found that I was missing out on playing some of the newer courses that are being built around the GTA. The Club I was a member decided to convert to full equity and so wants another $17,000 from me, I decided to quit and found this forum going forward, I hope to meet new golfers and play wonderful new courses.

Welcome trunckslammer1!
Everyone on here is pretty great. I'm sure you'll see plenty of advertisements looking for playing partners.
Best of luck and welcome to TGN ;).

Welcome to the forum trunckslammer1. Wow, thats alot of cabbage to fork out. Makes me feel guilty only paying $800.00 a year for full membership at Woodlands in Clinton. I do thing though you'll enjoy playing other tracks and meeting new people. and it's alot of fun on this site.

I was at North Halton in Georgetown. It is actually a very good golf course and very competitive too. For those of you who know her, Mary Ann Lapointe is a member. She won the U.S. Ladies Mid Am and has won the Ontario, Quebec and Canadian a number of times. The whole atmosphere there is very good for golf. The Clubhouse has to be torn down and rebuilt. And so, if I were to purchase a share, I am looking at assessment down the road. I am a competitive Senior golfer and I am looking forward after 20 years to do the public golf course route of which there are so many ggod ones.

Welcome aboard.
I too, have had the pleasure of the private club atmosphere and public golf is a serious disappointment, by comparison. You might want to re-think going to public golf.
Good luck with it though.
