Only get roll in the winter time. We have native texas bumuda grass on the fairways and it is pretty soft and wet in the summer. have to water everday to keep it green. it is hot here.

Hello Bigbo,
Welcome to the board. Like some folks down your way think all Canadians live in igloo's, some Canadians think Texas is a state of sun and 75 degree weather. We'll try to let these folks know, "it's a Texan thing ya'll don't understand.
You'll have to tell tell about golf in the Brady Mountain area.

Welcome Bigbo, good to have a Texan visit. There are many times during Winter in Canada that I wish I was somewhere "warmer" than here. I know a couple of guys in Texas (Houston) and they love to say they were playing golf in mid winter while we are usually snowed in. I see you avatar says "Geek", is that a reference to Geek golf??

No big-hat-no-cattle guys here. ;)
I'm about your age (58) and, if that's really you, a lot less flexible. I've had a bad back since my teens, so that wraparound follow-through of yours is out of the question.
But I get by. Ah well, it's still get the ball in the hole, innit?

i can understand the back thing. eight years ago I was unable to walk. I was turned down by most of the back institues in Texas. I was told to get yourself a rocking chair and sit on the front pourch. I don't take no for an answer, so I finally found a doctor who would try to fix it. Today I can walk and talk at the same time.LOL!!!! By the way it is snowing in Texas today, I will do my best to send this stuff back north to you.
