The boys and I were in Golftown in Oakville and Kitchener Sat. hitting new drivers for something to do. I hit a Ping Rapture with a Aldila VS proto 60 stiff flex. Just smoked it what a driver I tried hitting the G5 and didn't like it. I hit one shot with a swingspeed of 133 mph and it ballooned and only went 218 yrds the shaft had a great feel. Consistently hit with a speed of 108 mph and went 275 yrds. Just wanted to let everyone know my thoughts on that driver. I also liked the Cleveland Hi Bore with a V2 75g stiff flex liked it just as much. It was in a lauch monitor, not outside not sure on how accurate the numbers are in the simulator. Give me some of your finings on drivers you have hit in the simulator.

 Ummm, I hit alot of different drivers that day, the one that stuck out the most in my mind I think would have to be the FT-3 Tour 8.5 with the YS+6 in it, It seemed to feel the best and go the longest, I also got a change to hit the FT-3 with the 73G diamana X-flex, and thats the best feeling shaft I have had in my hand since my Speeder 757 X. Im just not in the market to spend $300 on a shaft. I definitely think the best bang for its buck right now is the FT-3, they are just tring to get rid of them, and make room for the new FT-5 and the FT-i...

It seems no matter what I try the speeder 652 needs to be in it. The V-2 was nice and the aldila proto felt ok too. I don't know why but I suck  in a simulator. The Ft-3 did feel the best though. :) That Ft-5 looks nice, (on the website that is)

I was drooling over the Rapture driver last Fall.

Then I move my infactuation to the Titleist new D1 and D2 driver.

Now I am fixated to the ugly Callaway FT-i (which I think is uglier than the Nike Sumo SQ). I just love how ugly it looks....

Couldn't agree more, but until I get to see & hit them the Rapture is sweet.

Its like an ugly chick... so bad that you don't want to look, but at the same time you just have to because you can't believe its so ugly.

Just bought one with the prototype in it. Got a pretty good deal about 380 US. I would not reccomend the shaft for those that load real early. I load late due to long lag.

The shaft handles decent high swing speed (115) except on spin out. You have to stay with it and swing aggressive.

Miss hits I love. They are not as long but kept them in the fairway becuase the miss on the shaft tend to ballon for me which still keeps it in the fairway. I loose 20 to 30 yards (270).

The 9 degree was good for me very boring shot profile. It also moves very well left to right and right to left.

I used to hit a hi-bore with x shaft. I could not load it properly so felt I had to swing out of my shoes to hit it. Because of the head I had a hard time moving the ball left to right. No problems with high draw.

I think what really helped was the training I did in the off season. I am swinging better but the Ping has the best feel since my old wooden tony pena.

....with the YS+6 in it....

The most underrated shaft in the business imo....picked up a 905T with a YS+6 last fall as a backup and it blew me away. No wonder it has usually been the leading shaft on tour most weeks for the last few years.
