I was considering may be a golf trip to Myrtle Beach for February. I've been checking the weather there and I find there is alot of rain. Maybe it isn't worth going to Myrtle Beach. Anyone have any experiences they could share, going down there in January/February?

I'm also looking to get down to Myrtle in February, but will probably book last minute now. The weather has been great down there these past few months. According to the locals, this usually means heavy rain and cold temperatures into the early spring. I'm going to keep a close watch of the weather, and book it on the fly. I'm also looking into going to Florida or the Alabama Coast, but prices are significantly higher.

The temps look ok. If its atleast 12 I'm happy. Just no fun if it rains the whole time. Any cooler than that and I may as well golf here.

I'm praying for decent weather next month...I'll be there from February 1st to the 5th. I have been following the weather for the last month and looking at weather patterns for the month of February. From what I've found, it's not the rain to be worried about, it's the cold.

Average February temperature in Myrtle Beach is 60 F. The mornings may be cool, but should warm up nicely throughout the day. Rain is not an issue in February.
