I'm wondering if anyone knows of any fitness/country clubs with a significant number of indoor tennis courts (at least 6) in the Burlington/Oakville area.

I found a couple clubs on the web:
Burlington Fitness and Racquets Club
Cedar Springs Health, Racquet and Sports Club

Any feedback on these clubs?

I'm thinking of taking up tennis again after a 5 year break, and I figure the winter is a great time to start given the lack of golf.

Thanks for any info!

Cedar Springs is a nice club. They have a lot of facilities and seem to be very family orientated. I know the owner and the managers and they're nice people.

It also has some nice squash facilities too. The newer courts were built by moi and we're there a few times a year doing maintenance on all their courts.

Burlington Racquet is also a nice place. I find it to be a little more upscale then Cedar Springs. They also have great squash courts built by the number one squash court company in Canada...us. :D Again, the owners and managers are nice and friendly.

I can't comment much on the tennis facilities, but hopefully this helps.

They both have large exercise areas with a large selection of machines and weights.

Thanks for the info, Kace!

Do you or anyone else know how much these clubs typically cost to join?

Unfortunately I can't help you there. But I do know and have seen them taking possible new members on tours of the club. Maybe you should try to set one up at both places and see which best fits your lifestyle.
