One of the sweetest looking blades there is I think especially in the gun metal. But have not yet tried them, I keep forgeeting about them when we go to GT.:(

haha yeah, no doubt they look awesome - the only thing I'm skeptical about is the forgiveness. I mean, I'll get the hang of them quickly, and I'm sure over time they'll make me a better ball striker - It's just that I'm going on a golf trip to Orlando in March, and don't want to spend the week getting used to something and playing horrible. What I was thinking of doing is playing my old irons and maybe bring 1 or 2 of the CG1's?

Bring the 7,8,9 and PW and the rest can remain your old irons. At least with the 7 and up irons forgiveness isn't such a huge necessity. Just think or it as you're own homemade combo set.

If you're going with the chrome, buy from seller Scottyboyz on ebay. He has a brand new set up now.

Just a friendly note... If you're talking about the need for forgiveness, it's not time to switch to blades. God knows I don't have the game for them. Hoping I did, would just lead to a very expensive mistake. Besides, there are alot of beautiful forged cavity-backs on the market now.
Good luck with your decision.:)

forgive me for wording that wrong - what I meant was just like at first because of this trip I'm going on. I'm fairly confident I'll be alright with blades as I'm a fairly decent player, playing at a single digit handicap - as well as being a fairly decent ball striker. I was just kind of hesitant about how long it would take for me to adjust to them, that's all - thank you for your comment though!

Damn, you do have game. My mistake and my apologies. I just have a couple friends who've bought equipment well beyond their games, and paid for it.
Have a great trip!

haha no worries at all - I suppose there really isn't a way to tell on here where someone is at at first glance anyway - thank you for your advice though, I can imagine how frustrating it would be to make a large purchase on golf equipment only to find out you can't use it to improve your game!

I was just on TGW.com checking the CG1's out, and under construction it says that they're cast rather than forged!! is this true!?!?!

Call Rob using the number provided on the auction. He may have another set lying around. Unfortunately, he had BIN on his CG1 set a few weeks back for 479cdn, but now he knows demand is higher.

what do you mean by BIN? and do you think he might actually have another brand new set lying around? He's the head pro at my local course, so I figure he might be selling inventory from the course.

BIN=Buy it now
If the CG1s feel as good as my CG2s, then they should be sweet...I just needed a little more forgiveness than blades could offer.

They are the least forgiving blade in the entire store. Brutal!

He had them up on Ebay as a buy it now at that price a few weeks ago, and has been clearing out a few sets each week. Now that he knows what demand is like, he may not let them go at that price anymore.
Anyone know if the 2007 chrome will be milled like the black pearl set? I know that all of the tour chrome sets were milled last year.

I don't really like this set of blades. Cleveland had a much nicer set of blades years ago called "588 tour action" (I think) that I thought had much nicer lines. They were shorter heel to toe and quite playable IMHO.
You would find the older model far cheaper and they could be refinished to look new.
