Maples of Ballantrae

[Queen of the Beach]

I'm playing at the Maples of Ballantrae Golf Club Championship Course tomorrow. Has anyone played there before? Any advice to give?

i played there early this season but it was being airified at the time. thus, is i cannot comment on the conditions of the greens. it was a nice course though with some challenging holes.

what did you think about the course, qb?

I had a lot of fun at this GC. The greens were in good condition. Tough to read! The fairways were wide open and in good condition also. Hole No. 1 and No. 18 had big bodies of water that came into play for me. My favorite hole was No. 2, a 425 yards Par 5. It was uphill and had a stream that ran diagonally across the fairway and up around the green. Surprisingly, I found hole No. 10 was challenging for me even though it was a short 93 yards par 3. Maybe it's because I had to hit over 85 yards of water? It wasn't busy there so my friend and I were able to just take our time, very laid back and enjoy the nice scenery. I will definitely play here again next year.
