The CNE is home to many different types of "shows." Like the sportsmanshow, mountainbike etc. show, ski show..... An event where manufacturers can show new model stuff, and a great place to get wicked good deals.......

Just curious if there is a Golf show at the CNE?

I think that your big golf show is at the Convention Centre:

The building I used to work in was attached to the Convention Centre. It sure was handy to see may of the events.

I've gone to the last 4 and each time I keep telling myself not to waste my time. If you've never been, by all means go and check it out.

Unless you go early to get the free golf balls, get your kids a free putter or early enough that the demo range isn't 15 deep then maybe. You're probably better off going to GolfTown to demo clubs.

There are a couple retailers at the show that try and sell off demo clubs as well as regular retail stuff but there isn't any HUGE discount (if any) to make it worthwhile.

I get in for free but god forbid I should have to shell out $15. to see what's more a travel show than golf show.

I also have gone to the golf show previously, and would not waste my money going back again. It should be renamed the golf travel destination show.

ive been many times (just because i work directly across the road from the Convention cntr)...It is positioned wisely on the calendar..usually end of feb to beg. or mid March..and by that time im usually chompin at the bit to just swing a club. I always pick up a 2 for 1 for Pheasants Run..which makes the visit worthwhile...and once I did a putting contest and sunk three 25 foot putts (in 5 balls) and actually won a framed Mke Weir pic winning the Masters. Other than that, i come back with some good bathroom reading...several golf destination travel brochures:help:

I haven't been for 3 years, but I'm going this time....only because I'm actually looking for some golf vacation deals this time.

Are there speakers doing talks? Can a person spend at least six hour there if they don't care about the vacation stuff?
