CBS is BACK, In HD!

I never thought I'd be THIS happy to see CBS back on the golf rotation. It's in HD too. SHWEET.

Nantz, Feherty, Faldo, When did they sign Ian BF? Faldo seems to be better when he's supported by a competent team.

He still mumbles we'll see how it works out.

I just got my HDTV and HD box recently and I'm lovin' the CBS golf coverage today! Absolutely amazing! Why did I wait??

Now I want to get away for some golf...

I too am recently new to HD so today was my first chance to experience a golf telecast HD. Could not agree more..........it is a real treat!

In fact, sports in general is the programming I have noticed the largest difference.

There's a new HD channel every couple of months it's really catching on. The more ppl are using HD the cheaper it will get. Keep joining folks.

I have had HD for awhile, but other than the majors, most broadcasts were not in HD. It's great to see move events now being telecast in HD. It is super medium to watch sports!

I like CBS's coverage better than the Golf Channels. I love the Golf Channel, but I find their golf broadcasts boring. Seeing how Nick is on both, it kind of points the finger at Kelly. I like Kelly, but she needs to improve on the live golf broadcasts.

Now to watch the Leafs beat the Habs in HD!

You're not convincing me. It's the reason I got HD 3 years ago. Well The masters and the super bowl. It's just nice to have most of the tournaments in HD. Golf really lends itself well to hd. The 5.1 surround is cool too. You can hear the fans cheering behind you as though you're standing in the gallery.

The best part is the elevation changes you really notice it in HD.Wait till they're broadcasting in full 1080P. Yikes. But that's in a few years.

It is a real pleasure to watch golf in HD.
I have StarChoice sat. and waiting for the golf channel to broadcast in HD.
Does any one know when and if this is going to happen??

I am with you...I got HD last year just so that I could watch The Masters in HD.

I also agree with most people, The CBS crew made TGC seems like amateur. It was such a relief seeing and hearing them after having to deal with the TGC crew for a month. The Bob Hope people probably now realized the second-tier TV coverage they experienced (good luck in getting Justin Timberlake next year ;) ). The only way TGC can measure up is if they go HD full blown and hope the audience get hypnotized by the pictures and ignore the sound of Kelly Tilghman.

Considering the length of the contract TGC has to provide coverage I expect we will see some changes in the lineup of personalities.
