Great viewing with a great leaderboard. Henrik Stenson thoroughly deserved the victory, hitting an amazing 66 out of 72 greens in regulation.

I suppose it will be a few weeks until Tiger returns to the PGA Tour and we'll get all that crap about his winning streak again. Tiger is a phenomenal player but this is the 3rd stroke play event that he hasn't won during the so-called winning streak - Bryon Nelson's record is about the only one that will remain out of his reach...

And you can call it a Tiger slam but thats just "Tiger you just cant seem to win the grand slam of golf so we will just call it a Tiger slam". Tiger is just another player on the tour granted he's one of the best but still just another player. Its the PGA and the networks that need Tiger and thats why they keep pushing these so called records he is holding or chasing. Maybe this loss will help them see the light and focus on giving us a better broadcast.
end rant

Is his streak not PGA tour sanctioned events only?

Do you agree that the US media still considers this a streak.. with 3 non-wins outside of the US?

golfcoach,

Byron's record doesn't have a * beside it with a caption at the bottom saying "PGA sanctioned events". Simple fact, Nelson won 11 consecutive events that he played in. Tiger's current streak is bunk.

Whats even more amazing about Byron's 1945 year is that after the 11 consecutive tournament wins...he went on to win 7 more! Thats 18 wins in one year!

I watched the Dubai Classic...it made for great watching for sure. I thought Ernie would take it in the end, but it was a tough day for scoring. Stenson deserved the win very much. A real force on the Euro Tour.
