Hows everyone doing,

Havn't been on this site in soo long, thought i would check up on your guys. What have you guys been doing in the winter to keep your golf swings looking sharp? Golf Domes and nets im assuming. Whens the Toronto Golf Nuts open in the spring? Is there one planned because i might have to make an appearance this year, I think one of my friends would like to play too. I realize i was rather immature, prolly about a year ago when i was posting alot but ive matured and looked back on some of the things I said and just laughed, in how stupid some of the things I said/did were. anyways im back just alot more mature.

Welcome back GTA!

How did your game treat you? Where were you, and did you get any tournaments in?

small tip:
It's like I used to tell my little sister: The coolest people don't call themselves cool.

You're growing up man, and that's life. We've all been there, and wish we were still there today. I'll never apologize for acting like a 16 year old at the age of 16. Take everything in stride, and hang on for the ride of your life better known as college.

Nice for you to come back to the forum Mike.
Tell us what you have been up to + how the game is progressing.

Havn't really been up to much..making a few swing changes, really working on my short game and have seen a big improvement in my overall game. Hitting the ball alot more pure and have gained a few yards which ive been waiting for, for quite some time now hoping I can still add a bunch more. Been playing a few tournaments down here, which has been alot of fun. Other then that its basicly. Eat Sleep Golf Workout & I guess i also have to put a little time into school lol. Ive been talking to a few Universities, trying to find the right school to go to. Whats new with all of y'all?

Hi Mike
Did you end up adding shaft extentions to make your irons longer in length?
Where is your handicap now? What was it at the end of the Cdn golf season?
What is new up here ... the frickin snow and lots of it the last month.

yah i have extensions in the irons but to be honest, they've worn out really fast and starting to get the rust circles in the sweet spot. I guess when you play and practice as much as I do those things tend to happen. But im not sure what the handicap is down here, really dont play that that much because it does get pretty pricey. Normally practice and play the 9 hole course here because we get to play it for free and its alot of fun and good for the game. At the end of the season I think i was around a +1 at my home course.

Hey Mike;

Welcome back!

We all grow up sooner or later. Keep on working hard. Diligence and determination will pay off.

We all grow up sooner or later.

I don't wanna.

Hey Mike. I'll be in Orlando beginning week of March 17. Maybe we can get a cheapo round in Sunday May 18 early Morning. Dubsdread? I'll PM you early March if you are interested.

I'll be likely playing Bay Hill on the Monday or Tuesday (sorry all spots are full) and I want to be in game shape before I pummel my dad. I only beat him by 4 strokes the last time we played (wonky putter) and I want to truly humiliate him this time around.

Anyone else notice that it's normally Mizunos that get that worn out, rust spot in the face? I rarely see that type of wear on other forged irons yet see it alot on heavily used mizzy's.

Welcome back Glig, are you possibly getting a golf scholarship to goto univ down there?

BTW, it's good that you've matured. You never know, if you become pro...we might copy n paste some of your previous threads and put them in the public eye j/k :D

Hi wayland

I wondered why too. See it a lot on eBay with used clubs. My son has 100+ rounds on his MP-30's and no hint of that ugly brown spot on the face, but he cleans the face after every shot. Could it be someone who hits a lot of range balls and the balls have sand on them, which wears down the chrome real fast? Just a guess ...

Hi Mike

Do you practice hitting range balls a lot and do they have some sand on them?

yah, when you guys are in the area let me know and maybe we will get a round in somewhere.

I dont know why but you rarely see the brown spots on other brands its normally just mizuno's, sometimes other blades too but never as much. I guess when i have a bucket of balls they do get some sand on them but ive had them since march and have played over 200 rounds and hit who knows how many range balls so im assuming its just from hitting them so much. Im sure the sand doesnt help much either.

Haven't we had this conversation? or was it all in my head.

I arrive at 11 pm on Mar 17.  We're munchkin free for the first time in a few years so the wife will sleep til noon (probably later) on the first day. I want to get in a round golf and go sailing with my dad in the afternoon. If you're in Orlando on Sunday morning then let's hit the links. I suggested Dubsdread because it's cheap for the poor starving student and it's somewhat centrally located although I'm open to suggestions.

If by Sunday you've already made your way to your place on the west "coast" then we'll hook up maybe Monday or Tuesday. I'm trying to convince dear old dad to play Diamondback or Southern Dunes along with the Bay Hill round. Things are still pretty fluid so maybe we chat more mid march.

I bet the gligster and I can "unofficially" wrest the title belt from you and jay.

Let's chat about this on Sunday.....as for you a Glig taking the belt, he'd have to be your full-time partner, so I doubt that will work Charles.

Otherwise, I'd say bring it.....:D

I said "unofficial". I know there's another pair in line as the challangers of record. Doesn't mean the gligster and I can't humilate you then brag about it later.

I don't know how caught up you are on the belt thing since you've been away for a while but matches were suspended until the spring. Away golf matches were never formally discussed, but I believe the intent was Ontario golf.

The catch of the match is, both playing partners have to somewhat local and %100 mobile...meaning, access to a car Mike. :D

As for humiliating me, I could do that all by myself without even lifting a golf club.
