Just wondering if anyone had any tips to prevent an all-too frequent worm-burner?
The last couple of times out, i feel like I'm probably too upright when I'm setting up, but was trying to figure out a good check for this during set-up.
Thanks

Actually, skulling the ball is usually the result of standing up or coming out of the shot too early. It's not necessarily your stance.
What I try to do is to think about keeping my spine angle the same throughout the swing. That way I don't straighten my knees or lift my head during the swing.
Good Luck.

skulling is one of my "dum dum shots" shots i waste around the greens
this problem didnt start for me till this year... for me im finding this happens when i stand to close to the ball without choking the club and when i dont open my stance...

Hi guys,
I think it is more about concentration. Make sure you see your club hit the back of the ball. You have to actually see the club and the ball come in contact. Take your time and concentrate... no shots are easy. Especially around the green where we have a tendancy to take the shot for granted...
Good luck,
Jean-Guy

Thanks guys, I'll be trying a few things out... much like you alien, seems to be around the green, and wasn't happening that often until this year. hehe, concentrate... and ruin a good walk?

At Impact.
1) Keep your hands ahead of the club face.
2) And strike with a decending blow.
It's one of those "fundamentals" of striking a golf ball. Get this right and you'll hear that beautiful 'click' on the sweet spot. Then you'll rarely skull it again.
