Anyone interested in playing in the next couple of weeks?

I've been living in Toronto for about a year, but have a limited number of golf buddies in the area. I'm open to playing anywhere in the GTA, but would prefer to stay within the $45-80 range for a round. Also, I'd prefer playing with low-key 15-25 handicappers (or thereabouts).

I've only played a few courses in the area, such as Cardinal in Newmarket, Caledon, Lakeview in Mississauga and Richmond Hill - I enjoyed all.

If you're interested, post here or PM me.

Weekends are best for me. I'm good to go on May 21-22 and 28-29, at any time (despite what the wife may say). Teeing off in the AM is preferred, though.

What courses do you like to play?

I'm not in your area bud, sorry. If you find yourself coming out west to the KW region, look me up.

Saints Fan: I am planning on playing next weekend, likely at Cardinal if tee times are available. We usually play Saturdays around 10Am, will be booking a time tomorrow morning, let me know asap if you want to join us.

I play with a guy from work, my girlfriend (Mary), and me, so there is room for one more. Mary is getting pretty good these days and may kick all our butts, I call her "fairway Mary", she is almost always in the short grass.

Post here or email me at: golfwolf@gmail.com

Ian, next Saturday at 10am sounds great. If you're able to confirm a tee time, consider me in.

I'll check in here tomorrow, but feel free to email me at ericshaw@rogers.com if need be.

Eric Eric,

I will make the call Sat. morning, and let you know what we get to play later in the afternoon. I have a time today at Mill Run, hope the rain doesn't get too heavy.

Excellent. Thanks for the invite, Ian.

My first round of golf this year was played on the West course at Cardinal and was great fun. I look forward to playing the East, which I have heard is better.

I'll be in touch through email to dscuss specifics.

Looking forward to it. The front nine of the East course is different from the other nines at Cardinal, more hilly but there are a few nice holes. The back nine is much like the first nine on the West.

Saints Fan (Eric) and I played Saturday at Cardinal East course along with my girlfriend Mary and co-worker Larry, we had a fun time on the course. The weather was beautiful for golf, none of played particularly well but at least we got out there to play and enjoyed the round.

Thanks Eric for joining us, it was great to meet you, hope we can get together again when we next play a course that is convenient for you.

Thanks for a fun day of golf, Ian! I really enjoyed it.

I'd certainly like to play with you, Mary and Larry (aka "Fossil") again when you're out this way and looking for an extra playing partner. You're a great bunch, and each of you have a lot of game (despite yesterday's scores).

Thanks again. Let's stay in touch.

I hope you guys had a nice round at Cardinal. My friends and I are planning to play at this course next Sunday. This will be our first time playing there... How is the condition of the course? I also heard that they have the 2 for 1 rate, is it true?

teck.

We had a fun day, the course is in good condition, the front nine of the East course was better than the back nine. On the back, there were a couple of greens which were a bit bumpy, a few soggy spots off the fairway but not too bad at all. Most of the greens were firm, difficult to see a ball mark at times. Not sure about the 2 for 1 thing, we paid just over $50, that is until the end of this month, normal rate on weekends is $57 plus tax.
