Looking for a .335 tip sized driver shaft for a head I have. Would prefer regular flex, and relatively high launching. But let me know what you have. Thanks.

I have a brand new Accuflex Icon V3 in firm flex, which is a very nice soft-tipped shaft that is along the lines of what you're looking for. I was keeping it for future projects, but I don't have anything on the horizon right now so...

... its yours for $50. I'm in Ottawa, so shipping is not an issue.

I'll think about it..would like to hear some more offers before I commit...firm is the same as stiff?...I know diff. companies and diff. characteristics in shafts make a shaft feel more/less flexible but just wondering.

Not sure what you mean...sorry not familiar with clubmaking "lingo". Ideally I would like the shaft to be long enough to not have to fill hosel with glue or whatever....but if it's possible to play to 44.5" or so with tip prepping i'll be fine with it. Let me know if you have any shafts for me. Thanks(hopefully that's what you meant)

Tip prep is.... the amount of the tip that is abraded to allow the epoxy to bond to the shaft.

Depending on the head your putting the shaft into will help to determine if I or anyone will have a shaft to fit your needs. Is it OEM or component?
for example Taylor made, Infiniti, Geek heads are aournd 1.5 inch insertion depth but SMT is around 2 1/8 insertion depth(for the most part).
I"ve got a UST V2 HL I might be willing to part with. I just installed it but Haven't hit with it yet. It's got a brand new Golf pride Multi decade orange /black grip on it.

LMK if that would fit the bill and I can get the shaft pulled.

this shaft:http://www.golfsmithcanada.com/products/4936W?cseq=~C279310~M279404&fcst=GSI_CAN

with this grip:http://www.golfsmithcanada.com/products/17423?cseq=~C285713&fcst=GSI_CAN

they actually go wry nice together.

Ok...the head I need the shaft for is the new titleist 907 D1...not sure of the characteristics of the head as far the tip prepping necessary though. What's the weight of the shaft and the length once it is installed?(if you can determine that). Thanks

Mikeb&g,
I haven't played around with a Titlest head so I'm not sure how deep the hosel is or if it's a bore through or not.I Hope someone here can chime in.

The Shaft I have is 65 grms with a 2" tip prep not tipped that plays just over 44.5 in my Driver.

GREAT SHAFT BUT ...
That shaft will play close to X-flex, even though it is marked S-flex.
My son plays this same shaft X-flex at 61 grams and its right on XX-flex.
This shaft is like rebar, not very tip flexible. Many guys will launch it low.

Really?? I know the regular Blue plays stiffer than stated, but I thought the Comp Nt was supposed to have a softer overall profile. Interesting.....
