won an auction (only bidder...hehe) for a mactec nvg2 7 wood...auction ended sunday and club arrived tuesday just after noon...club is brand new...club cost just under $90 canadian..shipping and handling $24.99 (UPS ground)...some sort of duty or customs cost of $12.00...all in all a very happy customer here...was going to buy 1 from golftown but tried this and saved over $100 smackaroos :D

Sounds like a good transaction. I've bought most of my golf equipment (everything except my irons) from the US. If you buy off someone that appears trustworthy and make sure the seller isn't using UPS ground, then the customs and duties are very resonable. Most of the time I request USPS and don't have to pay anything additional.

I've bought clubs from Global Golf and also got them two days later. They are the bomb.

Check the terms of the deal....won't be surprised if you also got a free subscription to Golf magazine for a year. I did and I know a couple people who didn't understand why they were suddenly getting the mag. :D
