Hey all, I just got back from Golftown and aside from getting a new shirt (previously priced at $99) for $20, I also picked up two boxes of Maxfli Revolution Solids for $13/box.

These used to be super expensive balls.

Downtown had lots of them today.

I won a dozen of them at the TGN tourney. I haven't hit them so I'm curious myself.

I believe The Revolution Solid is a 2-piece ball instead of 3-piece in Revolution Tour.

I think the "Solid" models are 2-piece versions of the original models.

I haven't played them but the reviews are pretty bad. Hard, no spin, no distance, that type of thing. Walmart in the US is selling them online for $19.98 for 2 dozen.

Yup, unfortunately the "Solid" balls are *******izations of the former balls simply cashing in on the name. :(

I played them yesterday and while it was cold and super windy (another story all together) these certainly weren't great. I still have a stock pile of Staff Titanium Spins (I know they're old...but I like them) and the Revolutions didn't even out perform the Staffs distance-wise. They were significantly more firm around the greens as well. For 13 bucks I can't complain too much, but I certainly won't be buying them again.

Revolution solid= rocks. Nothing at all like the original 3piece which were better than the Titleist Tour Balata of the time.
