Have you ever just laughed at the idea that someone cleans up their house before the maid comes in? :D

Well, my game at the start of this year has been soooo bad. Playing like a 25 and not like a 5 hdcp. In fact, playing so bad I haven't been on the course in over a week and no plans to play for at least a week.

Even deep sixed my Bridgestone irons and retreated to my forgiving Ping Eye 2's.

I've been hitting the ball so badly that there was no way I was going to let my instructor (or any other instructor) see my swing. Finally, after two-three hours a day of practice the last eight days I finally have my swing to the point where I don't mind having it seen by a pro.

My pro wandered by today while I was hitting and couldn't get over how well I'm hitting the ball....pretty funny since I hit a lot of 90 yard nine irons last week. :mad:

Now I'm not embarrassed to have lesson. :rofl::rofl:

Did your pro figured out what you were doing wrong that caused you to play like a 25 instead of 5 hndcp?

Hehe, no, the whole point was that I wouldn't let him see me swing like a 25 hdcp.

What got me back on track was just getting back to the point where my back was aimed at the target at the top of my backswing. My turn was just lazy and mostly shoulders. :(

Seriously Harry, after hitting hundreds of terrible shots at the range last week and trying many things it just clicked in on the last 40 balls or so.

Pleased to report that I played today and played, on balance, extremely well. We have three par 4's in the 440-450 range and I took 4 on each. Hit more good shots today than the rest of the year in total....and that's sad.

I've got to spend this week at the range every night to try and learn what I've been told. Swing changes aren't easy.

Spent considerable time working on my pitches inside 50 yards last week and it really paid off today. Less play more practice was my 2007 resolution.
