I've been playing the callaway tour series gloves for the past several months, and I like them alot. But they seem to wear down very fast. It might be because of me gripping the club to tight (ive gotten better at that), or sweaty palms, i dunno... it just seems like after a few rounds, or even a week of going to the range several times, my glove is done.

Are there any gloves that are known to last a long time, and have the feel of the cally tour gloves?

If you're wearing your gloves out after a few rounds or after several range sessions, there might be other issues besides the glove.

What part of the glove is wearing out?

I used a Cally Tour Series glove for all of last season and it held up pretty well for over 20+ rounds. Plus I use corded grips.

As I posted in another glove thread....

Many golfers I know switched to Fit39 Gloves from Japan, I know I will be using them this year. 100% waterproof and slip free and very very durable, retains shape through any weather or wear (many have said it's like a second skin). One glove should last a season and they are not outrageously priced. I don't know though if there are any Canadian dealers (which is too bad) but there is one in the US:

Well before when i had a pretty bad grip, the glove would wear out (ie leather rubbing off) in the left right pad of my left palm. that was because i was gripping the club to much in my palm, and it was shifting around in my hand too much during the swing, etc etc

The kind of wear I get now is just all over, not just problem areas from a bad grip. And since I have improved my grip significantly, I doubt that is a major cause of the glove deteriation. I do sweat a lot, and get sweat palms, so I'm thinking that is the main reason.

SMT has a glove that comes with a lifetime warranty I believe. Check it out.

At the bottom of the page. I think Kona Golf Sales in the TO area carries them.

Stay far far far away from Nike,

I picked up a dri-fit Nike glove earlier this season. I've played about 2-3 rounds and have gone to the driving range about 10 times? The glove is already following part! And just an FYI all my grips on my drivers and irons are all brand new!

That Fit39 shop is shifty to me.

Also, I found this: http://www.exce-l.com/. Looks like an update to the glove for North American market? And 2 bucks cheaper, too!

Hmmm seems like they've re-branded it for North America... Fit39 is very popular in Asia but I had to check on that Exce-L brand above and it is linked to Fit39 Japan and identical to the new Fit39 Plus glove in Japan. The shop I posted above is a US distributer....

Must try this new Exce-L out...
