I hope some people remember Goldwin clubs. I have a set of irons and absolutely love them (I know they're ancient technology but they do the trick). That said, the grips are going downhill and fast.
I have some replacement Goldwin "slip-ons" but because the butts are 1" I fear it's going to be darn near impossible to put them on in the traditional method. Does anyone have any advise regarding this?
Also, If someone knows of a grip that is simply a wrap (like you actually wrap it around the shaft onto the club (this is what I currently have) like tape) that would be great if they could let me know.
I think I'd prefer to buy some new grip 'tape' than install the goldwin "slip-ons" I've currently got laying around.
I'd hate to toss these irons simply because of the grips.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

You can put those grips on, you just need to find a shop with the sleeve to help them along. GT should have one......

If you want to do it yourself, this might help:

Thanks guys. I've seen those tools before. I suspect I am simply delaying the inevitable in terms of getting new clubs. I don't want to put 'normal' shafts into these as their swingweighting is entirely dependent upon the particular shaft in them now.
Has anyone seen any wrap grips around anywhere?

I owned Goldwin's too.... Sold them when I moved up.... I loved them also, but I too was searching for something better..... Had the driver also and everyone who tried it loved them....

Isn't that grip the same as Winn grips?
Can you use the grip tape that tennis players use?

an alternative grip wrap that has worked out very well for me are synthetic leather tennis wraps available at any tennis supply store.I apply double sided tape to the shaft before wrapping. They work very well and are very comfortable.
average price is $16/3 pack

Thanks guys, I'd thought about tennis wraps. Perhaps I should investigate further. I'm also thinking after I sell my R7 SuperQuad I could just put that money towards a new set of irons  . At any rate, thanks very much for your suggestions.
