I booked a round for the first time on line with LMG...i earn points...okay..now what? What do I do with these points the next time? Does the course i go to next time know how many points i have? and how much do i save on the round?...(the website explanation is confusing).
I probably will accumulate more points before I use them, but just wanna know the deal.
LMG experts please pipe in

Everytime you book (and pay) a "non-red flag" time, you earn "yards", there is a section that will tell you how many "yards" you've earned (LMG also e-mails you updates from time-to-time)
Then when you book a RED FLAG time, it will give you the option of using some or all of your "yards" to reduce the price.
It's pretty simple once you get the hang of it.
Your "yards" carry-over from year-to-year, and of course you can earn bonus yards by purchasing at Nevada Bobs, redeeming Bonus Codes (Quigleys/Waldorf), and winning Bonus yards at LMG tournaments.
Consider getting the VIP, it's worth it.:)

I don't think you earn points at NB's anymore. I recall reading about it somewhere recently

A good use of your "yards" is with weekday anytime passes - you get even more for your dollar than with red flag rewards. They are weekday passes (M-Th) and once you have purchased the certificate, you call the course(s) up and book any available tee time - you are not restricted to what is available on the LMG board. I find this is a bit more flexible vs Red Flag deals and times as you can only get what shows up - with weekday passes you set the day and time and save quite nicely. For example, I have passes to the Legends courses in Niagara, as well as Thundering Waters, and I got them by buying at the spring rate and using just over 2200 yards - now I get to golf at all 3 for $91.
I also don't think NB is a part of this anymore.
You can also earn yards with course reviews and it does add up, especially considering the Ontario reviews section is pretty active. Limited to 10 yards per day, but day to day, and month to month, this does add up nicely.
