I would just like to say I got my very first brand new set of irons from Golf Town. My gf bought a brand spanking new set of Mizuno Mx-25. I have never bought a new set of anything before and after I saw how much she paid, I have to ask. HOW DO YOU GUYS DO IT?! I didn't feel right spending over $1000 for irons. I felt like I sinned everytime I hit a ball with them... but yet they felt soo good. :help:

Congrats on the new sticks.
I go with custom builds from a custom club fitter. Built to suit me for almost half the price of new sticks off the rack.

There're a lot of reasons. For me, the two primary ones are 1) denial, and 2) priority....;)

Actually, irons are probably the only thing I'd buy new. Being a lefty, pickings get slim when looking for irons. Having said that, there was a great selection at the Golftown Demo sale last year.

just get your gf to work some extra hours to pay for the clubs and in the meantime you could kindly break them in for her! :) !
if you need new clubs but cant afford them just sell your children or your parents or something and make sure you get them fitted :D .
credit cards are also good ( especially ur gf's ) as you can buy the clubs and feel great using them b4 you actually get the bill............i find that any feelings of guilt are gone by the time the bill arrives and i am using my new club
