View Full Version : Hissing Clubheads?

Whenever I swing my 905R, there's a hiss to it as it goes through the air...I've always thought this is normal, and maybe it is (other people who have this driver...do you notice this?) However, today I realized my PW was hissing when I was swinging it around...probably not a good sign. Does this mean there could be a hole somewhere in the head, or in the hosel? I don't feel I'm hitting my driver as far as I can, and although I don't want to blame it on a faulty club - I'm just wondering...is it possible there's something wrong with these 2 clubs?

Yes - same thing happens when I am not hitting balls, just swinging the club

there could be a small gap between the hosel and the ferrule that's cuasing the hissing noise when your swinging. The quick fix would be to mix some epoxy and fill the gap....... or replace the ferrule.

Hi Some may remember the Accuform Whistler. It had a channel that caused it to make a whistling sound when you swung it, so the gap in the ferrlule theory is a posibility. By the way the Whistler came out in mid to late 90's and the Driver, Fairway Metals and Putter wher all square! Sorry for your luck Calloway and Nike but shortly after that, Accuform went bankrupt.
