Hi just have a question on how this works? You see an ad you want, you press on the option where it says email/message the owner. When you receive a response do you receive it on your email address (hotmail in this case) or at the website?


Ps. that site doesn't look to safe or secure judging by the homepage haha

Craigslist has been around for ever and is all across the world - the response will come to your email address - when you click the email, it will send using your regular email account.

what i do is copy and paste the craigslist email address and use my hotmail/gmail account to email the guy, therefore you will get it to your hotmail. If i can offer a suggestion, never pay someone thru Western Union or the like. I along with many others have been scammed off this site because of that.

Whenever i have dealt with the person face to face, i have never had a problem.

The website is perfectly okay. Great way to sell things locally.

And yea, deal face to face.

As far as the buy/sell areas, it's the internet's version of a garage sale. Everyone that has ever bought anything from me has always tried to get me to knock the price down.

I did unload a BBQ and all my goalie equipment (except the pads) without having to place an ad in the paper.

It worked for me!

yeah. sometimes if you post something.
you'll get an offer for over 120% of your asking price.
and the buyer wants you to ship it to his son/cousin in a country outside of North America.
avoid this pitfall and ignore the email offer!:)
