How long should it take for a warranty on a pair of Adidas 360's with a cracked sole 10 days,2 weeks,3 weeks,4 weeks? Its been 4 weeks and counting since LuckyLuke took his shoes back to Keith Chung (the pro) at Dentonia park where he bought them last summer. This should have been an easy fix seeing as luke has spent about $3000 in this guys shop. He could have easily replaced the shoes with a new pair and simply been done with it. We are now into week 5 and he still has no idea when he will get them. This is the worst case of customer service that I've seen in a long time and I cant believe how he's been treated by this so called golf pro. If you are thinking of making a purchase from this guys shop BEWARE if you have any problems with anything you buy from him. This is not the way to keep your customers coming back in fact he just lost a good cash paying customer.

Ron,

At this time of the season, it doesn't surprise me bro. I sent my 360's back to Adidas last season and they took 2 months before I got a full credit through GT for a new pair and was able to buy new shoes.

I'd call this guy at Detonia and ask him for the RMA# that they were sent back under, then call Adidas Customer Service and ask what the holdup is. If he says he can't give you an RMA#, then there is something fishy going on. Usually though it's not the shops fault as it's the height of the golf season and people from all over Canada are sending in warranty claims, but every now and then you get to deal with guys who drop the ball and lay blame on the manufacturer to get out of a headache.

Then at this time I'd be speaking to his Manager and demanding a new pair of shoes on the spot. That IS, terrible Customer Service and the Manager of that shop needs to do what is necessary to make this right.

When my adidas 360's cacked out on me last year I brought them right to the head office in Vaughn.... They handed me $250 in gift certificates on the spot for their outlet stores to purchase another pair. I was very surprised they did this, but it worked out well, as my GC bought me more than just the pair of shoes..... You may want to give the head office a call and see if they can do anything for you. I know it's the middle of the season, but c'mon....You need your kicks, right? It's not your fault they broke....:D

Then I'd take the shoes back from him, call Taylor Made customer service and let them know what happened and log a complaint against him.

It seems Scott was right about the backlog from Adidas. When I went into his store today, Keith was more than gladly ready to talk to me. We discussed a few things and I discovered that Keith is a good man and true to his word. We apologized to each other with a satisfying handshake for our misunderstanding, and he asked me to pick out a replacement pair off the shelf. Things aren't always what they seem on the surface. We open one door and forget that there are many doors behind that one. THANKS!

 I'M READY :D

Seems to me that this should be taken off the forum (and probably shouldn't have been put up in the first place.) Is this really the appropriate destination to spout off about a mixup that hasn't come to a resolution? The Internet, and this site, is very public -- and it sounds like this guy and his shop did the right thing.

I agree with RT, I must admit I only know one person on this forum in person however would like to think that my behaviour and writing on this forum would be the same as if I were to speak to people in person.
Having been on this website for the past year and following various posts, I find that I've been able to develop a filter for the truly well informed impartial postings of golf addicts like myself who only want to provide insight or advice based on their personal experiences versus those people who play favourites and clearly have hidden agendas based on sponsorship etc.
I only urge the casual reader of postings on this site to use a slightly jaundiced eye when reading some exuberant postings of product X or course Y.

This is while back now, but I bought a bag from DYNAMIC Golf when they were still around and the bottom broke. I took it back and they wouldn't replace it, but did send it back for a n/c warranty repair. IT took 6 weeks!!! After a month of being VERY nice when calling 1-2 times per week, I started calling everyday. At one point the store manager started giving me attitude. I said, "how would you like to NOT have a golf bag for 6 weeks in June??!!" It did come back, and although it was not necessarily the stores fault, they should have done more for their customer, by at least finding out why it was taking so long.

Ironically I ended working for the company that distrubuted the bag, and when I met the girl in charge of returns/warranties I totally understand why it took so long....she was the biggest walking moron.

Golftown replaced my 360's last year with a brand new pair ... no questions ... no problems.

Their service has always been great at all GT's I have shopped at (Scarborough, Markham, & Woodbridge).
