cool vid
feel is a pretty subjective parameter and depends on alot of things, shaft type, shaft flex, shaft torque, even the grip make up and the ball used.....not to mention the head style ( cb versus blade) and how well one hits the center of the face
of the hundreds of forged irons I have hit, personally I have found that the Wishon 550c and Tourstage z101 are the best feeling
in terms of Rockwell hardness for steel, it has been stated that nobody can tell/feel the difference between the various grades of steel whther they be cast , form forged or true forged....the true forging process does provide a more consistent product with less voids in the material

Your right. Nothing may feel like Mizunos. but for me.... Nothing is better than wishon 550 C or M with some Accra toursteels.
JMHO.

I prefer Titleist forgings.
Just as soft (IMO), and farrrrrrrrr better looking.

i must say there are several guys on here who like the wishon clubs.
unfortunately i dont see them in the stores over here ( england) very often &when i do ( twice i think.lol ) i NEVER see them left handed :(
so i cant try them myself to see if i can agree with your opinions.
i dont think they are supplied over here i think when i have seen them they are special orders people have made and then pulled out of the deals or maybe have been waiting to collect?
i have only ever seen 2 sets in all the stores i have been in ( and thats a lot :D )

Regarding Mizuno vs. Titleist irons, I would say based on my experience
Mizuno assembly is tighter on specification then Titleist irons / wedges.
Mizuno was one of the early Name Brands to make more high end product
for the LH'ed player :D

i have played mizuno, titleist, etc. etc, and i can tell you that nothing compares to miura japan forged irons, specifically the tm tour irons, or retail tm muira forged irons if you can find them, i will not play irons that are not miura, i dont care what they are, even the r7 tp tour irons, the shaft certainly has something to do with it, i play project x which makes any iron head feel better , chris

Any of the "6-series irons" (660, 670, 680, 690, 695) are the best looking irons i've ever seen.

Although I'm biased, I completely agree with you

I love the look of Mizuno's, I think they are the sweetest girls at the dance, and if they paid Tiger 100 million +++, I'm sure he'd go back to them with no problem at all. I have never really liked Titleists that much, or Ping, or for that matter Taylor Mades, or Calloways. They are all fine clubs, but what really matters is what suits your eye, and game. It's totally subjective. As for Wishon. I've never seen Wishon clubs, but on a diffrenet note, he now writes for Fairways magazine.

Though I am a newbie (and so, my opinion may not count much), of all the clubs I tried when I picked a set for myself, I went for MX-17's (so what if they aren't forged :P), I chose them over 23's, 19's, Racs, Hogans, and some set of Nikes that the folks at GT recommended.
They were probably the most oldschool clubs of the lot I tried, but they felt the best, and have been a massive aid in improving my game. Recently my cousin bought clubs for himself (He picked Racs for himself), and I tried most of the clubs I tried when i picked my set, as well as a few others, and still did not like them as much as I like my 17's after a season and a half of Golf with them. Maybe it's a matter of me being totally used to my clubs now, but I totally wasn't feeling the clubs that were supposed to be easier to hit.

just wondering should i buy a set of mizzys? I am currently using taylormade burners as my dad now has the x18s. I am now hitting the irons straight and get a fair amount of distance. Shoot in the mid 80s, and shot a 82 at indian wells yesterday. Am i warranted to make the switch over?

I feel that 17's and 19's are quite weighty (17's more so than 19's), that is, if you are going for the lower bracket cavity backs, so if you are not into heavy-ish clubs, I wouldn't recommend those. They do suit my swing, or style of play, so I prefer them.

i use the mx 17's myself and have to agree they are a heavy club.but thats how they are designed.
the additional weight is to aid getting a high but powerful flight for those that need the help.
i am considering a switch this season but i have to say although i play regularly with guys that use blades they dont hit their irons any straighter or further than me on the whole so i wonder if its worth taking the risk of a switch?
i do quite like those MP60's though :) and my iron striking is sweeeet!
the only problem i have is i play alot of links golf and this time of year especially it can be like hitting off a road the fairways are so hard.
so the big soles on the mx-17's like to try bounce/skid through the ball on real hard ground.
i just feel there is a set of 60's calling my name somewhere though :D

The 60's are beautiful....Even "I" can hit them, and thats saying a lot. I bounced back and forth about buying them, all last year. I'm sort of glad I didn't, but I suffer iron envy whenever I play with someone that has mizzy's....like yesterday @ Don Valley, and a partner's MP32's. They look stunning. Unfortunately I need a touch more game improvement, hence the Cobra FP's.
