View Full Version : John Daly attacked

Grass Roots Tour

Daly is playing today with steak knife marks on his face from his wife, Sheri. Apparently, she attacked him in his sleep.

WTF is wrong with people?

While I feel for JD's predicament, but I can't help but think that his problems are all brought on by himself. And he does not seem to change even after given second chances so many times.

There are many people in this world who don't get a second chance, the sooner JD realizes this, the better.

"My Exxes wear Rollexes"-you have to love the title of his self-effacing book!
Trevino must be his marriage broker.

I guess if it were just a question of will power, he would have changed years ago. Clearly, he needs professional help to overcome his various addicitons.

She should have beat him with a bag of sweet, sweet valencia oranges. That way she'd have made her point and there would be no marks....

Can't help but like John but lately I haven't enjoyed his banter at the skins games. A little too much. Anyone else notice?

Looks more like a 'bizarre shaving accident' than 'stab marks', but that's the Life of JD for ya!?

Hopefully she is lying. Why she woul dcall the cops and then leave doesn't make sense to me. I wish John the best if all the claims she is making are not true but we will probably never know.

Apparently the wife claims JD tried to rape her, and there is a security guard is a witness too. However, security guards can be bribed, so I'm holding my opinion until I hear the whole story. Apparently JD came drunk and started the entire incident. The wife isn't exactly "perfect' either and her family name has been included in drug and gambling activities.

Unless it was the booze taking over (see....everyone should just smoke pot...as per the other thread) I don't think JD is that type of personality. I wonder if the wife knows her family name will be dragged through the mud and is now trying to create a diversion, as she battles for full custody AND the marital home.

Just read the article, and I'm sorry, but I have a problem with this woman's side of things. How convenient she requires the marital home AND her monthly expenses that range between $15-$30K. If a woman is truly being attacked by someone as big and strong as JD you would think they would want to be as far away from the abuser as possible.

He is such a bad person.....but she needs his $ and his house. This does not sound like someone who fears for their well being. It sounds like a vengeful "X" that is more interested in shaming her husband publicly than anything else.

In her defence I am sure JD came home drunk and maybe broke the gate, but it is pretty easy these days to prove "rape". It just sounds fishy to me.

She might be telling 'more' truth than him....

Now if she was trying to carve him with a steak knife, how come he has no defensive wounds on his arms. The wounds appeared to be rather superficial as well.....And how did she manage to carve both sides of his face so many times without him putting up any resistence?

David Faherty was right when he said there are three sides to a story: there's his, hers, and then the cold hard truth.

Makes sense. I think it said in the article that she called 911 but then left. She could of stayed at the neighbours place with the kids till they came.

Sad to say the least.

If he was smoking pot that could explain it.

No way any of those marks on his face were from a knife - that's not really his story is it? Those are clearly nail marks.
I haven't been a fan of JD's since his reality show - he was a wreck.

Definitely not from a knife IMHO. His wife on that show was just as awful. Hopefully they just reconcile with a quick divorce for the kids.

It's very sad but I guess if he couldn't hit a ball 320 yards and putt... people wouldn't care as he would just be another drunk and probably would have killed himself by now.

Alcohol addiction. I wonder if the stigma attached to it will never allow addicts to overcome it. maybe that's a little to complicated for a golf forum thread.

Totally agreed. He was trying hard to be funny but it just sounded forced. His 15 minutes have been up for a long time.

I think he still has another 5 minutes or so.:)

he was constant with the chit chat and really not that funny. Trying to hard is the perfect way to describe it.

To Bad Daley doesn't have a head to go with his AWESOME TALENT. Most of his problems are of his own making. :cookoo:

He has become a circus side show. How many marriages he has had already now? He boasts about 3somes with his wife and strippers etc.... He has wasted tremendous amount of talent with his drinking, gambling and womanizing. He probably deserves all he gets.

Maybe womanizing qualifies as a disease along with alcoholism and gambling addictions.:D
