Hey everybody,
Was wondering if anybody had a picture or knows where I can find a picture of the boat used to take golfers over to Bigwin Island?
I want to bring my father up there for a round, but he is scared of boats and wants to see what hes getting into before he goes.
Thanks for the help

Something tells me that won't help.
Not to put too fine a point on it, I think Pops is afraid of water, not boats.

If its a big issue they might let you drive. This is Scott Grant driving us back while Mike Bast is watching. The actual driver is in the back talking to me.
Of coarse Scott looks like he's conducting an orchestra more than driving, ha ha ha

actually landlord,
believe it or not your wrong. He isn't affraid of water at all he swims in the lake, water, ocean etc. all the time. He actually has a weird fear of boats. He is scared of moving at fast speeds on water.
Strange huh?

Well then he does not need to worry about that boat, it does not move that fast on the water. I would be amazed if it goes over 20 km/h.

Why don't you just call the pro shop and ask if they could make a slower run across the lake. I was there a couple of weeks ago and the shuttle is surprisingly fast.

Landlord, tell him the boat is the cadilac of the water. And it is.
Smooth as anything and safer than you would ever imagine.
Worse case, but the airplane....

I was up at Bigwin 2 weeks ago and the boat pictured above was not the boat they were using. Actually didn't even see that boat (I know that it was the one they used 2 years ago.) The one they have now is bigger, more of a flat bed boat (sorry, I don't know much about boats). Looks like something they would use to bring supplies over, with a big flat deck. You can sit outside or they have a cabin you can sit in, which I think can hold about10-12 people. Very smooth ride and you get across in 5 minutes.

Played there on Friday and Saturday. On the way there, it was a bigger boat then the one shown. More like the flat bed one that was mentioned. Coming back on Saturday night was the smaller boat similar to the one in the photo. The Course was in awesome condition and playing there for the first time with the great weather we had for the 2 days, the scenery was spectacular.
From talking to the starter, it seems that it is going private after this year. $90,000 inittiation and dues around $5,000 plus yearly. It is a must play golf course for those who have not done so. Coming back, I heard on the radio there is a twilight deal. After 3pm Monday to Thurday it cost $150.00 and it includes dinner. We paid $150.00 to play. Regular rate is $175.00. Range, locker, shower etc included.
