Apologies, couldn't resist....although from what I remember, the first is an elevated tee shot whereby you DO have to carry some clag, so it's not bad advice :$

only played it once and that was a couple of years ago and to be honest there are only a couple of holes that still stand out.

I played the course a couple of weeks back and it was in excellent condition. A recent bunker restoration is now completed. Lots of elevated tees including my personal favourites the Par 5 15th and the par 4 18th. Enjoy your round this is one excellent and highly underrated golf course.

I worked there one summer about 15 years ago, so my memory is a bit faded. Essentially it is a straight forward course. Not really long, and if you hit it straight pretty straight forward. Where you will get into trouble is trying to be a hero, particularily on 18. You can drive the green, but there is trouble all over the place. THe 1st hole too is a huge elevation and is a somewhat blind tee shot.

Good greens of course.....it's a Stanley Thompson, and some tricky dog legs on the back. I would think scoring will be farily low here as it does present scoring opportunities on many holes. You will enjoy the course though.

the first hole?...a blind tee shot?...really?

I've played there many times and I can most definitely say that it is NOT a blind tee-shot.

Agreed, but in a sense you cannot see a lot of the rubbish that is just off the front of the first tee due to the elevation - at least that's what I recall from the receding brain cells :)

Sadly my round has been bumped to a later date....

ahhhhh the agony of it.......and the weather this week is perfect for golf. Played 36 holes round the Summit yesterday - 18 in the morning with my Father-In-Law (here for a few weeks from England) and then we were joined in the afternoon for another 18 by my 10 year old.

Sadly I lost 5&4 to my 10 year old :$

At least I saved some face by beating my father-in-law. :)
