I have plans to play Lakeview next Monday. Can someone who has played it recently give me an idea of what kind of condition it's in these days?
Thanks.

Getting expensive. Greens are slow unless you get lucky on the day they cut and its pretty short. Not much of a deal anymore.

Played sat and it took well over 5 hours...marshalls do nothing.....course in nice shape, but some greens aerated.

I played Sunday...5.5hr round...Someone mentioned "Marshalls do nothing"...I don't think I even saw a marshall the whole day!
1/2 the greens were aerated which made them bumpy.
At $67, this course is getting really expensive for what you get.
The one thing I was impressed with was the cart girls...These girls should definitely sign up for the Score Cart girl search ;)

The cart girl on the 4th or 5th hole? was rude as hell.

Thanks all for your scouting tips on Lakeview. (Keep em coming too).
So, the greens were aerated (that accounts for why they were slow). Was it only the front 9 that were done, or only 1/2. Did it look like there was another aeration scheduled (i.e. for the other half)?

Expect Lakeview to be hit and miss all year. Big tournament in August and everything done to the course is with an eye to getting it ready for that (e.g. growing out the greens and the rough, then cutting back, letting grow out again, etc..). Unfortunately those playing the course from now until August will be taking second place to tournament prep. Last 2 times out putts ran like pinballs but heard the week previous (approx 3- 4 weeks ago) they were superb.
So, who knows what you will get but it wil be inconsistent and you will pay full pop no matter what they are doing on any given day, week , or month.

a lot of 'aerated' greens on Back 9 (#12 & #13 and the short #17 come to mind), but course is in fine shape, as it get ready for the 'enslaught' this summer!!
One major peeve (other than the PRICES and how many guys used Power Carts on an easy-walking course)...we teed-off on Thursday @ 330pm, when we got to the 'turn', not only was the snack counter closed, but the 'room' with the beverage dispensers was LOCKED! WHY!? Pro shop was still open...
...talk about a way to lose 'easy revenue' and keep the pace!!

I played twice there this year a month ago and two weeks ago and the greens were brutal both times. It was like they hadn't been cut in several days and the poa grass was so bad they were extremely bumpy.
